The 12'6" Sport+ is a streamlined crossover tourer for lightweight speed, glide and efficiency. This sleek design offers progressive performance for smaller or more ambitious paddlers wanting a fast, responsive board.
The narrow, tapered nose and slender 28" outline cut effortlessly through the water, delivering smooth glide and direct tracking, with a hard-release Speed Tail to reduce drag. Just 4.7" thick for a well-balanced, connected ride, its advanced MSL®800 construction is incredibly light and super-stiff, further reinforced by RSS battens. Ideal for coastal or inland touring and covering longer routes, the square tail and volume distribution provide reassuring stability for total confidence in choppy conditions.
The grippy embossed deckpad and ergonomic carry handle enhance comfort, while an adjustable six-point cargo bungee system keeps gear secure on the nose – plus twin D-rings on the tail for extras. A nimble crossover tourer, the 12'6" Sport+ is ideal for lightweights and aspirational paddlers.
Material
Built in our latest, super-light, ultra-stiff MSL®800 double-drop-stitch material.
MSL® (Monocoque Structural Laminate) is the world’s leading drop-stitch. Exclusive to Red Paddle Co boards, it’s made to our exact specifications.
Monocoque: meaning the coating is integral to the structure. MSL® drop-stitch technology integrates a highly durable, reinforced coating to the ultra-high-definition weave to form an inseparable base layer.
Structural: the high-tensile drop-stitch fibres are designed to withstand pressures in excess of 22psi, meaning Red boards can be inflated to provide unrivalled stiffness and confidence, no matter the rider weight or prevailing conditions.
Laminate: the reinforced composite coating is bonded to the textile core using machine welding that applies heat and pressure to the inner PVC layer, saving over 2kg of adhesives and reducing cosmetic and safety concerns. Produced under low tension, this process creates a torsional stiffening effect when the boards are inflated, making MSL® stiffer at lower pressures.
Sustainability
At Red, sustainability isn’t just marketing hype – it’s central to everything we do. As a certified B Corp (www.bcorporation.net) we’re legally committed to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
Red boards are built to last using our quality-assured Tec-Air process, which boasts one of the lowest warranty rates in the industry. Durable products minimise our environmental impact.
Our manufacturing processes aim for zero waste by optimising material use and we design for disassembly, incorporating 100% recyclable virgin plastic components.
