Warranty

Below are the warranty guidelines for Red Paddle Co, Princeton Tec and Frontier. For more information regarding APA's warranty for other products, head to our terms & conditions section.   

Red Paddle Co - Warranty

We will be offering a 5 year warranty for each board bought from the 2020 & 2021 range. Just like our 2 year warranty that was available on 2018 and 2019 boards, we will require you, the customer, to register your board with us via our website within 3 months of purchase to activate the extended warranty. 

Register your board within 3 months after your purchase on www.redpaddleco.com/register to activate the extended warranty.

The Red Paddle Co 5 year warranty covers defects in materials and craftsmanship.

Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse or neglect.
  • Damage caused by improper packing.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in material or workmanship.
  • Damage Caused by excessive UV/Heat Exposure (shown by distinct yellow glue staining around seams or fading of parts such as fins and logos)
  • Damage caused by use of solvents, adhesives.
  • Damage to Red Paddle Co products caused by non-Red Paddle Co products.
  • Any and all claims for consequential or incidental damages.

EXTENDED 5 YEAR WARRANTY

2020 Red Paddle Co Boards can be covered under the 5 year warranty program. 2020 boards can be identified by their serial number at the back of the board. The serial number must start with Red 20 .

For the avoidance of doubt it is only 2020 Red Paddle Co inflatable SUP boards that are covered by the 5 Year Extended Warranty and not paddles, leashes, bags, fins or any other accessory or boards from previous model years. For your board to qualify for the full 5 year warranty it needs to be purchased between 7th October 2019 and 6th October 2020 and registered within 3 months of the date on your original receipt.

Only brand new, unused boards qualify for this program and not Ex Demo boards. The Red Paddle Co 5 year warranty covers defects in materials and craftsmanship.

The boards are covered under warranty, to the original owner with proof of purchase from an authorized Red Paddle Co retailer, against defects in materials and craftsmanship.

If your product should fail during the extended warranty period due to defects in materials or craftsmanship, we will repair it free of charge or replace it at our discretion. 

Normal wear and tear damage, damage caused by misuse, cosmetic damage, improper care or impacts/accidents are not covered by this warranty. Wear and tear is natural and inevitable damage as a result of normal use and exposure to the elements.

Losses or costs incurred as a result of loss of use are not covered. The product’s lifetime depends on how well it’s taken care of and how much use it gets. Outdoor adventures can be rough on your gear and taking care of your equipment will increase the lifetime of the product.

PREVIOUS YEARS BOARDS:

2008 – 2017 model year boards:

New Boards manufactured in between the above periods were sold with a 1 year warranty for the original purchaser.

October 8th 2017 – October 6th 2019 Boards manufactured/purchased in between these periods and with either a serial number starting with Red18 or Red19 were sold with a 1 year warranty for the original purchaser but this could be extended to 2 years if the board was registered within 3 months of original purchase and no later than 6th July 2020.

Princeton Tec - Warranty

International 1-Year, 3-Year, 5-Year and 10-Year Warranty

Princeton Tec warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use for one/three/five/ten year(s). This warranty covers all of the component parts of the product except batteries and incandescent bulbs. This warranty does not cover deterioration due to normal wear or damage due to misuse, alteration, negligence, accidents, or unauthorized repair. Princeton Tec will repair or replace parts which are defective in workmanship or materials.

Your authorized Princeton Tec Dealer and Princeton Tec are the only facilities authorized to repair the product. After (3) unsuccessful attempts (within the warranty period) to repair the product, you have the right to elect replacement of the product or a refund of the purchase price less allowance for use of the product. NO INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARE INCLUDED IN THIS WARRANTY. (Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.) This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

To file a warranty claim for your Princeton Tec product, call (1-800-257-9080) or email ([email protected]) our Customer Service team for assistance. To find the details of the specific warranty that covers your product, please see the breakdowns below.

  • If we determine that your light needs to be sent back to us for repairs or replacement, we will give you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Note: no warranty work can be completed without first obtaining an RMA number from Princeton Tec. (Sorry!)
  • Once you receive your RMA number, ship the defective product back to Princeton Tec at the address provided.
  • If possible, we will repair the light. Otherwise, we will replace your light with an identical product or, if the product is no longer available, a comparable product. We will then ship the repaired or replaced light back to you. Average turnaround times during non-peak seasons are 2-3 weeks.
  • Our Customer Service team is located at Princeton Tec HQ, live and in person, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am through 5 pm (EST).

 

Frontier - Warranty

Frontier warrants all Packrafts sold by Frontier to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.

This warranty does not cover deterioration and damages due to normal wear or damage due to misuse, alteration, negligence, accidents, or unauthorized repair.

 

The Frontier 1 year warranty covers defects in materials and craftsmanship.

Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse or neglect.
  • Damage caused by improper packing.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in material or workmanship.
  • Damage Caused by excessive UV/Heat Exposure.

  • Damage to Frontier products caused by non-Frontier products.
  • Any and all claims for consequential or incidental damages.
